Abstract
FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: process involves filtering of slurry of fibrous material by means of rotary perforated cylinder gauze, with cylinder fully immersed in slurry bath, packing of wet blank obtained by roller resting on perforated cylinder and arranged above the latter parallel to its axis, drying-out with vacuum treatment until permanent mass is obtained. Filtering process is carried out continuously, filtrate is permanently returned to bath, cylinder peripheral velocity is maintained between 0.8 and 3.8 mpm. Process is ceased as soon as desired thickness of diaphragm is attained while it is continuously compressed by means of roller. EFFECT: twice as low difference in diaphragm porosity over its area. 2 tbl
