Abstract
The invention relates to the preparation of polyacrylamide (PAA) and can be used in the chemical and hydrometallurgical industries. The invention makes it possible to increase the molecular weight of PAA to 4, and its flocculation ability during the precipitation of quartz-feldspar suspensions (condensation rate 0.6 m / g). The effect is achieved by carrying out the polymerization of acrylamide in an aqueous solution of polyacrylamide with a viscosity of 250-3000 mm2 / s. containing 15-60 g / l of ammonia and 0.3-30.0 g / l of sodium hydroxide. 1 tab.

П р и м е р 1. PRI me R 1. A monomer solution containing 20% acrylamide and 38% ammonium sulfate is obtained by acidification of acrylonitrile and neutralization of sulfacrylamide with ammonia at 45 ° C. The polyacrylamide (PAA) solution used to dilute the monomer at a content of 1% PAA is obtained by dissolving the gel-like polymer in an aqueous medium. To increase the viscosity, 0.3 g / l of sodium hydroxide and 15 g / l of ammonia are added. The resulting solutions are mixed at a 1: 1 volume ratio until a homogeneous, viscous solution is obtained. The duration of stirring is 5 minutes, the viscosity of the mixture is 250 mm2 / s, the viscosity of the initial monomer solution is 1.2 MMVC. Ammonium persulphate and sodium hydrosulphite are added to this mixture in the form of 10% solutions based on 1 and 0.25% of the monomer, respectively. The polymerization proceeds at 28 ° C for 3 hours. The molecular weight of the obtained PAA is 3.0 x 106. The molecular weight of PAA by a known method is 2.2 x 10b. Flocculating activity under comparable conditions at a flow rate, flocculant 25 g / t was 0.46 m / h for the obtained PAA, and 0.12 m / h for the granulated industrial sample.
PRI mme R 2. A 4% solution of high viscosity polyacrylamide is obtained by mechanical agitation of a gel-like PAA in an alkaline aqueous medium. In order to accelerate the dissolution and increase the viscosity, 30 g / l of sodium hydroxide and 60 g / l of ammonia are added to the solution of PAA. To a 20% acrylamide solution prepared in Example 1, 4% alkaline solution is added.
