The purpose of the invention is to increase the selectivity to gold (III) in the presence of iron (III) in chloride solutions.
This goal is achieved using a liquid membrane consisting of a solution of hexamethylenedithiocarbamic acid methyl tetrachloroaurate (chloroform or 1,2-dichloroethane).
The membrane is a light orange liquid that, when placed in the housing, serves as the main working part of the membrane ion-selective electrode.
The housing of the liquid ion-selective electrode is either a U-shaped tube or a teflon tube with a diameter of 6 mm, height h 60 mm with a screw-on teflon nut for pressing the cellophane septum when separating the organic layer of the membrane and the test solution.

Оба хлорсеребр ных электрода подключают к рН-метру-милли- вольтметру рН-121 и измер ют ЭДС элемента (фиг.2).grams, the rest of the solvent is chloroform, placed in a U-shaped tube. One tube bend was filled with 2 ml of the comparison solution, 2 ml of the test solution was placed in the second knee, which was originally a gold (III) solution of 1 10 4 M and 6 M HCI. Electrolytic bridges filled with 6 M HCI are placed in both knees and placed at the other end in vessels with KCI and with two identical chlorine-silver electrodes of the EVL-1MZ brand. Both chlorine-silver electrodes are connected to a pH-meter-milli-voltmeter pH-121 and the emf of the cell is measured (Fig. 2).
When iron (III) solution of a concentration of 5 -10 M in 6 M HCI is added to the test solution of gold (III), the measured EMF changes or the potential of the membrane electrode shifts.
