The binder is prepared as follows.
ч: .An aqueous solution of prligexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride is preliminarily prepared by dissolving pellets or briquettes of its marketable product called metacid in water. Then, the prepared aqueous solution of the cation-active polymer is neutralized to pH 7 or acidified by the introduction of an aqueous solution of oxalic acid. The contents of the two aqueous solutions are poured into one container and mixed, and then the resulting solution is poured into technical liquid lignosulfonates and mixed. Table 1 shows the binder compositions 1-3 according to the invention. The main indicators of the properties of the resulting binders are given in Table 2, in which to evaluate the technical effect achieved, the results of tests of core mixtures with the binders indicated in Table 1 are also given. The strength of the mixture in the dry state when using the binder according to the invention increases 3-5 times. The higher strength of the mixtures in the dry state allows reducing the consumption of bonding materials, obtaining castings of increased geometric accuracy, reducing the number of scrap due to blockages, collapse of molds, cores and cracks, and increasing labor productivity at the finishing operations of cleaning castings.
