Abstract
FIELD: concentration of minerals. SUBSTANCE: floatation machine has chamber 1 where impeller 5 is arranged which is connected with drive 3 by means of shaft 4. Located around shaft 4 is bearing air pipe 8 to which disperser 10 is secured. Located in spaced relation to bottom of chamber 1 under impeller 5 is near-bottom plate 14 provided with central hole 15 and circulating pipe 16. Impeller 5 is divided into two parts by means of horizontal dividing disk 6. Relationship of height of upper part of impeller 5 to height of its lower part ranges from 1 to 4. Blades 7 of upper part of impeller 5 have lower edges bevelled from its axis upward. Plate 14 may be tightly connected with bottom of chamber 1 over perimeter. Plate 14 and bottom of chamber 1 form suction duct which is brought in communication with space beyond chamber 1 by means of supply pipe. Lower part of impeller 5 is partially introduced into upper portion of suction duct through hole 15. Pulp from bottom of chamber 1 or from duct is sucked upward by lower part of impeller 5 during its rotation. Disc 6 directs this flow to chamber 1. Lower edges of blades 7 in upper part of impeller 5 suck pulp from chamber 1 and in center of it pulp is mixed with air sucked from pipe 8 by upper edges of blades 7. Floatation complexes are fed to chamber 1 through disperser 10. In chamber 1 they float to pulp surface and are discharged from chamber 1 by means of foaming devices 18.
