The purpose of the invention is to reduce the labor intensity by reducing the number of test samples. Two three-layer samples, in which the middle layers are honeycomb fillers 1, 2, and the outermost fillers 3, 4 and 5, 6 are carrier. In the form of rectangular panels, they are positioned between the loading plates 7, 8 symmetrically with the axis of application of the force of their compression. The samples are positioned so that they touch each other with the edges of two respective ends along line 9, and the diagonal planes of the aggregates 1, 2 are parallel to the direction of the compressive force of the samples. When compressing the specimens, the shear and then the destruction of the honeycomb filler occur, and the magnitude of the compressive force is judged on its strength. A change of destroyed samples is not accompanied by assembly operations. 1 hp ff, 1 ill.
Description
The invention relates to testing equipment, and in particular to methods for determining the shear strength of a honeycomb core.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the complexity by reducing the number of test samples, as well as improving accuracy.
The drawing shows a diagram of the implementation of the proposed method.
The method is as follows.
Two three-layer samples, the middle layers of which are honeycomb aggregates 1 and 2, and the outermost layers, aggregates 3, 4 and 5, 6, are carrier. In the form of rectangular panels, they are placed in a loading device between the plates 7 and 8 symmetrically to the axis of application of the force of their compression. The samples are positioned so that they touch each other with the edges of two corresponding ends along line 9, and the diagonal planes of the aggregates 1 and 2 are parallel to the direction of compression of the samples. The compression force applied to the different carrier layers from the opposite ends of the panels causes their relative movement and, consequently, the shift of the honeycomb core. By the magnitude of the compressive force at which the destruction of the honeycomb occurs, its shear strength is judged.
The process of re-testing other cellular aggregates after removing the destroyed panels is not restrained. In addition, the tested panels provide the same number of damaged honeycomb core cells and thereby the comparability of the honeycomb core test results with different cell sizes under clean shear conditions.
