Abstract
FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: in generator part device has generator of harmonic oscillations, commutator, first and second mutually orthogonal transmitting loop aerials. In measurement part device has first and second mutually orthogonal receiving loop aerials, meter of sum of squares of semi-axes and products of semi-axes of ellipse of polarization of magnetic field, first and second adders- storages. With switching over of commutator generator is connected successively to transmitting loop aerials. During each cycle readings of meter by two outputs go to adders-storages where they are summed up with previous values. Measurement cycle includes preset number of switchings over of commutator. Signals of sum of squares of semi-axes and products of semi-axes of ellipse of polarization taken in adders-storages do not depend on orientation of transmitting loop aerials in plane passing through generator and measurement parts of device. They are proportional correspondingly to primary magnetic field and conductance of medium. Invention allows accuracy of induction profiling and probing to be increased thanks to use of push-pull excitation of transmitting loop aerials mutually orthogonal making it possible to exclude error of measurements influenced by orientation of receiving and transmitting loop aerials in plane going through their centers.
