The invention relates to the field of quantum electronics and can be used as this source of radiation. The aim of the invention is to increase the frequency stability of the radiation and reduce the size of the laser. To do this, in a stabilized laser containing an active element 1, a resonator and a multi-pass absorbing cell, the active element is placed inside a multi-pass absorbing cell, while its end faces are aligned with the resonator mirrors 3, 4, and the side surfaces are provided with broadband reflective coatings 6. This allows, by reducing the size and loss, of using the heat of the active element to heat, for example, iodine vapor. 1 il.

Изобретение относитс к области квантовой электроники и может быть использовано в качестве эталонного оптического излучени .This invention relates to the field of quantum electronics and can be used as a reference optical radiation.
The aim of the invention is to increase the frequency stability of the radiation and reduce the size of the laser.
The drawing shows a diagram of a stabilized He - Ne laser.
6.The laser contains an active element with two electrodes 2, a flat mirror 3 and a spherical mirror 4, which seal the cylindrical cavity 5, forming a cylindrical multipass absorbing cell. The electrodes 2 of the active element 1 pass through the cylinder wall to the outside, sealing the cylindrical cavity. An absorber (for example, iodine vapor) is located in the cavity 5, inside which the active element 1 is placed. The lateral surface of the cavity 5 is provided with broadband reflective coatings 6.
The laser works as follows
The radiation produced by the active element 1 propagates in cavity -5 ,. reflecting repeatedly from mirrors 3 and 4. K-ripenn spherical mirror 4 and the number of passes is chosen so that the return beam propagates along the same path as the direct passage through the cell repeatedly, the radiation saturates the absorber, forming the absorption peak that is used to stabilize the frequency. The material of the walls of the cavity 5 is chosen for reasons of the minimum coefficient of thermal expansion (quartz, snthall), providing high passive stability.
The location of the active element inside the cavity 5 will reduce the number of elements inside the resonate

This reduces the loss, and therefore increases the radiation power; which leads to an increase in peak contrast and an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio.
In addition, the placement of the active element 1 inside the cavity 5 approximately halves the length of the resonator compared to the prototype. A more compact laser has a higher passive stability. Heating the absorber with the heat of the active element increases the contrast of the peaks. The application of broadband reflective coatings 6 on the side surfaces of the cavity 5 contributes to the retention of heat in the absorber, increasing the uniformity of the temperature of the latter.
All of these factors will ultimately increase the frequency stability of the laser by about an order of magnitude.
