Abstract
1 з.п. The invention relates to methods for studying colloidal systems and can be used in scientific research practice, to develop methods for intensifying ultrafiltration processes, and also to increase the efficiency of the processes of sludge dewatering from highly dispersed particles. The purpose of the invention is to determine bound water that does not contain counterions of an electrical double layer. The dispersed phase is taken in a homoionic form, transferred to the gel state in an aqueous medium, and the content of the dispersed phase is measured. The gel is then brought into contact, for example, by means of a semi-permeable membrane with an electrolyte solution having a common ion with the dispersed phase. The system is maintained for equilibrium and the equilibrium concentration of the electrolyte is measured. A similar measurement of the equilibrium concentration of the electrolyte is carried out with the second concentration of the dispersed phase in the gel, and taking into account the results obtained, the amount of bound water that does not contain counterions is calculated. The second concentration of the dispersed phase in the gel is obtained by adding the dispersed phase in an amount of 30–250% of its initial content in the gel. 1 hp f-ly.
