The invention relates to radio engineering. The purpose of the invention is to increase the focus. A directional coupler contains a dielectric substrate 1, on one surface of which a metal base 2 is made, and on the other there are conductors of supply lines 3 connected respectively to two quarter-wave conductors 4 connected to each other along the entire length and placed on opposite surfaces of the dielectric plate 5 mounted on the surface of the substrate 1 perpendicular to it. To achieve the goal, in each conductor 4, a longitudinal slit 6 is made symmetrically with respect to its ends. Different in length communication areas with an even and an odd form of excitation allows to compensate for the difference in phase velocities and increase the directivity of the device. Изобретение относитс к радиотехнике , а именно к устройствам распределени мощности между лини ми передачи .The invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to power distribution devices between transmission lines.
The aim of the invention is to increase the directivity.
The drawing shows a directional coupler.
A directional coupler contains a dielectric substrate 1, on one surface of which a metal base 2 is made, and on the other there are conductors of supply lines 3 connected respectively to two quarter-wave conductors A, connected to each other along the entire length and placed on opposite surfaces of the dielectric plate 5 mounted on the surface of the dielectric substrate 1 perpendicular to it. In each quarter-wave conductor A, a slot 6 is made, which is located symmetrically about its ends.
The directional coupler works as follows.
The high frequency power is applied to one of the four conductors of the supply lines 3 and in the quarter-wave conductors 4, connected with one another along the entire length, redistributed between the transmission lines. The directivity of the device depends on the difference in the phase velocities of the waves with even and odd excitation of quarter-wave conductors 4. The longitudinal slits 6 convert the quarter-wave conductors 4 into two pairs of connected conductors. The conductors in each pair are connected in parallel. Variations in phase velocities are achieved due to differences in geometry.

ч показали, что направленный ответвитель имеет направленность пор дка 28 дБ при св зи 3 дБ.chesti; vniiie region of cps: i1 in two excitation modes. With an even excitation, this length of the array and the main conductors located on the surface of the dielectric plate 5 between the gaps 6 and the surface of the dielectric step 1 "For an odd type of excitation, the communication region is determined by the average length of the conductors located on both sides of longitudinal slits 6. The difference in the length of the communication region with an even and odd type of excitation makes it possible to compensate for the difference in phase velocities and to improve the directivity of the device. Experimental studies have shown that the directional coupler has a directivity of about 28 dB with a 3 dB link.
