Investigating Or Analyzing Materials By The Use Of Ultrasonic Waves
(AREA)
Abstract
FIELD: nondestructive materials testing. SUBSTANCE: quality of welded joints obtained through diffusion welding via metallic spacer and subjected to temperature differentials is improved due to separation of acoustic emission signals furnished from various microprocesses arising in materials of welded joint in testing the joint by thermal action. Selection of threshold magnitude of number of acoustic emission signals which makes it possible to reject defective welded joint and time required for cooling the welded joint during its check is effected by results of tests of specimen made of material of spacer. EFFECT: enhanced credibility of quality check of welded joints. 1 dwg
