The invention relates to the field of instrumentation of the rectification process and may find application in the food industry in the production of ethyl alcohol.
The purpose of the invention is the intensification of mass transfer.
The presence of contact elements at the base of the overflow device, oriented Q towards the horizontal plateau and located along elliptical trajectories, provides a rational introduction of the liquid phase to the plate due to the intensification of feeding 15 lateral sections of the horizontal plateau, due to an increase in the gap formed by the perforated plate with the wall column shells, from the center of the overflow device to the periphery. In addition, the use of the energy of steam jets helps to enhance the transport of fluid at the inlet portion of the tray, preventing the formation of a full mixing zone in this area. At the same time, an increase in the gap between the inclined base of the overflow device and the perforated plate leads to a decrease in the hydraulic resistance of the overflow device and improves the conditions for the introduction of fluid into the contact zone

The mass transfer plate includes 40 horizontal plateau 1 and a segment overflow device 2 with a base 3 and a vertical partition 4, the lower part of which is equipped with a perforated 5o plate. The base 3 of the pedal of the selective device is equipped with contact elements 6 for directing steam into the liquid, oriented towards the horizontal plateau 1 and arranged along elliptical Q paths. The base 3 and the perforated plate 5 are inclined and form a gap, the magnitude of which increases in the course of movement. liquid A perforated plate 5 is installed with a gap to the wall 7 of the column housing increasing from the center of the overflow device to the periphery.

The plate works as follows:
The liquid phase with an overlapping contact stage enters the segment overflow device 2 formed by the column body wall 7 and the vertical partition 4, the lower part of which is equipped with a perforated plate 5 Part of the liquid flows through the holes in the plate 5, and the rest of its mass falls on the base of the overflow device 2 when the aid of the gap formed by the perforated plate 5 with the wall 7 of the column body, where it is picked up by the steam flow entering the plate through the contact elements 6 and is fed to the contact An increase in the gap between the perforated plate 5 and the wall 7 of the column body from the center to the periphery, in combination with the orientation of the contact elements 6, activates the inflow of the liquid phase into the side zones of the tray, thereby equalizing the values of the local velocities of the liquid front. At the same time, there is an intensive liquid discharge from the inlet section of the plate and the destruction of the zone of complete mixing in this area, which, in turn, leads to an increase in the volume of the diffusion zone on the plate and an increase in the separation efficiency of the unit contact stage and apparatus as a whole, thereby reducing the impurity components in ethanol without increasing the reflux number and the number of plates. After passing the horizontal plateau, the liquid phase is discharged into the next overflow device. in, and then the steam is supplied to the overlying contact step to further react with the liquid
