The invention relates to methods of conductometric control of the concentration of substances in solutions and can be used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and chemical, petrochemical and other industrial sectors.
The aim of the invention is to increase the life of the electrodes when analyzing aggressive electrolytes.
The drawing shows a calibration dependence for the problem of determining the concentration of hydrochloric acid.
The method is implemented as follows.
Install cation exchange membranes. Fill the space between the membranes and electrodes with auxiliary electrolytes inert to the electrodes. Electrodes are installed in a conductometric cell with the electrolyte to be analyzed, ensuring that the analyzed electrolyte contacts the cell electrodes through established cation-exchange membranes. The measurement of the electrical resistance on the alternating current is made. The concentration value is determined from the previously obtained calibration dependence.
In this case, galvanic contact of the electrodes with the analyzed solution is carried out by alternating-directed transport of cations through the membranes and transport of auxiliary electrolyte ions inert to the electrodes.
П р и м е р. PRI me R. On standard solutions, a calibration dependence of solution resistance is obtained as a function of hydrochloric acid concentration.
(HC1). To find the concentration of the desired hydrochloric acid solution, it is poured into a conductometric cell. Cell resistances are measured. It is 166.8 ohms. This value corresponds to the concentration
