Abstract

The invention relates to the field of sugar production, namely to installations for washing beets. It can be used in other areas of industry where root vegetables are being washed. The aim of the invention is to improve the separation of light impurities. The device consists of a reservoir 1 installed in it with the possibility of the working body rotating, including a driving drum 2 with sprockets 3, on which a multi-end infinite canvas 4 is suspended, made, for example, in the form of chains 5 with grippers fixed on them 6. Small light impurities (up to 10 mm in size) are removed through the conical holes 8 of the separation chamber 7 beyond the limits of the beet washer with used washing water, the flow of which is regulated by the shut-off fittings on the drain pipes.
