Abstract
FIELD: organic chemistry, medicine. SUBSTANCE: product: p-chlorophenylsulfonylacetic acid tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ammonium salt. Synthesis is carried out from p-chlorophenylsulfonylacetic acid and triethanolamine in ethanol medium at boiling. Yield is 90%, m. p. is 92-93 C, empirical formula is CHClNOS. Activity of product exceeds that of clofibrate, toxicity LD= 6000 ± 108 mg/kg (intaperitoneally), active dose 25 mg/kg decreases cholesterol level in blood by 53.5% as compared with control value. Synthesized compound can be used for prophylaxis and treatment of atherosclerosis. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness, high yield. 3 tbl
