Abstract

FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: titanium tetrachloride is dissolved in distilled water up to the concentration (as TiO) 130-160 g/l, ratio of free hydrochloric acid to titanium dioxide is made 1.4-1.8, and titanium (3+) chloride is added to the solution at concentration of TiO1-2 g/l. Solution is heated to 70-75 C and anatase modification seed charges were added to its at concentration 5-20 wt.-% with regard to TiOin the parental solution. Solution is heated at stirring up to 95-98 C and kept at this temperature at least 3-3.5 hr. Obtained hydrated TiOis filtered, washed with bidistilled water, dried and calcined at 600-650 C. Obtained TiOof anatase modification shows friable powder of monodispersed composition, particle size is 3-5 mcm, specific surface is the range 10-50 m/g, basic substance content is 98-99%, impurity content - 1•10wt.-%, not above. Calcination loss is 1-2%, not above. EFFECT: enhanced purity, particle size, decreased loss. 2 cl, 1 tbl
