Abstract
(ЛThe invention relates to oil and gas geology and can be used to search for hydrocarbon deposits, as well as to identify the gas hydrate process in the exploitation of gas fields. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the method. Gas samples are taken, the argon, krypton and xenon contents and the isotopic composition of argon are determined. From these data, deviations of relative concentrations of krypton and xenon (relative to the concentration in the sample of argon of atmospheric origin) from the same relative concentrations in the air are calculated and, when the inequality fxe kr –Ag is fulfilled, d 1, the presence of hydrates is made. The aim of the invention is to increase the reliability of the method.
The method is carried out as follows.
A sample of the gas is taken from the object under study (the reservoir has been opened by a well, gas is released on the surface or at the bottom of the water area). Using a mass spectrometer, the content of argon, krypton and xenon and the isotopic composition of argon in the sample are determined, and then the content of argon of atmospheric origin in the sample is determined by isotopic data.

Составл юи1ие атмосферного происхождени дл криптона и ксенона не рассчитываютс , так как эти компоненты в природных газах атмосферного происхождени .The composition of atmospheric origin for krypton and xenon is not calculated, since these components are in natural gases of atmospheric origin.
Then, the ratio in the sample of concentrations of inert components of atmospheric origin is determined and compared with the ratio of concentrations of these components in the air. Determining this ratio and comparing it with air can be made.
