Abstract
The purpose of the invention is to improve accuracy by localizing the shear deformation and heating the shear zone. A sample of conductive material in the form of a rectangular plate 1 has rectangular slots 2.3 on opposite edges that are parallel to each other and inclined to the edges at an angle of 45. Walls 4–9 are perpendicular to the surface of plate 1, and the closest ones to to a friend, the edges 10,11, formed by walls 5,6, are located in a plane, equidistant from the edges of the plate. The ribs 10, 11 and the surface of the plate form the shear cross section of the material, which is heated by the current passing through it. The shift over this section is determined by the angle of inclination 45. All this leads to an increase in the accuracy of determining the mechanical characteristics of the heated material during shear. 1 il. (L 673 /

The invention relates to a test technique and allows materials to be sheared in an area that is then heated to a predetermined temperature by passing an electric current.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy by localizing shear deformation and heating the shear zone.
The drawing shows the proposed sample.
The sample is made of an tocopic conductive material in the form of a rectangular plate 1 with slots 2 and 3 located on its opposite edges. Slots 2 and 3 are parallel to each other, are rectangular and inclined to the edges of the plate at an angle of 45 °. Walls 4–9 are perpendicular to the surface of plate 1, and the edges 10 and 11 nearest one to another, formed by walls 5,6 and 8.9 of slots 2 and 3, are located in a plane that is equal to the plate edges.
A sample of material is tested as follows.
The sample is placed in the grips of a bursting machine (not shown in the drawing). An electric current is supplied to the sample through the grips, which, the passage of the smallest cross section of the sample, located between rib 10 and 11, leads to its heating to a predetermined temperature.
11.The sample is stretched using a tensile machine and causes it to shift across the section between the ribs 10 and 11.

Это приводит к повышению точности определени механических характеристик нагретого материала при сдвиге и позвол ет наблюдать в микроскоп процесс сдвига материала , так как он строго локализован и не уходит в процессе испытани из зоны наблюдени .The angle 45 of inclination of the slits 2 and 3 ensures the symmetry of shear deformation relative to the cross section between the ribs 10 and 11. And since this cross section is the smallest and heated to a higher temperature than the adjacent material, then the shift until the material collapses along strictly defined edges 10 and 11 of the section. This leads to an increase in the accuracy of the determination of the mechanical characteristics of the heated material during shear and allows us to observe the process of shear of the material through a microscope, since it is strictly localized and does not go away from the observation zone during the test.
