Abstract
The invention relates to methods for processing grain in flour mills. The purpose of the invention is to accelerate the preparation process and reduce energy consumption. A reduction in the duration of the graining of the grain during its preparation for grinding is achieved as a result of the preliminary destruction of the cleaned and moistened grain. Description
The invention relates to the field of grain processing and can be used in the milling industry.
The aim of the invention is to accelerate the preparation process and reduce the energy consumption for grinding.
In order to speed up the process of penetration of moisture into the grain, it is necessary to artificially create in it a large number of moisture conducting channels. For this, the grain is subjected to preliminary destruction by passing it through a pair of smooth rolls installed with the possibility of growing, i.e. grain is subjected to crushing. As a result of squeezing between the rollers, the grain loses its bulk strength, a large amount of macro- and micro-trines are formed in it, through which moisture penetrates the endosperm at high speed, and the spinning process is performed for at least 2 hours
Wheat grain is cleaned from impurities, moistened to a moisture content of 15.5 / o, subjected to preliminary destruction on the flattening system with an inter-roll gap of 1.5 mm and dragged.
An experimental verification of the proposed method was carried out at the mill "Nagem. After completion of the moisture distribution by the grain volume, the process of loosening of the endosperm stops and further relaxation does not lead to a change in the strength properties of the grain. The process of loosening, the endosperm develops in coordination with the change in the indices determining the technological characteristics of the grain, in particular, with the consumption of energy indicators.

Therefore, by changing the energy consumption for grinding grain samples, it is possible to find the optimal time for soaking, which should correspond to the minimum
The data for an example implementation of the method are given in the table.
From the data presented it can be seen that a change in the elapse time of less than 2 hours does not achieve the goal. If the duration of the shaking is less than 2 hours, despite the large number of macro and micro cracks resulting from the preliminary destruction of the grain, the moisture does not have time to be redistributed throughout its volume and the grinding of the sample of such a grain is accompanied by increased energy consumption. When soaking the grain for 3 hours, the moisture is redistributed throughout the volume, the process of loosening the endosperm ends, which corresponds to
0 minimum energy consumption for grinding. A further increase in the spinning time does not lead to a change in the technological characteristics of the grain and the energy consumption for its grinding does not change. Therefore, a time interval of 2–3 hours is practically optimal for carrying out the proposed method.
