Abstract
п. ё о о (/)The invention can be used to compensate for temperature variations in resistance in electrical circuits. The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity of the thermometer. The capillary tube (T) 2 with identical electrodes (E) 6 and 7 is connected at one end to a reservoir 5 filled with organic liquid, and the other to a reservoir 1 with mercury. The latter is made with a variable volume, for example, from an elastic material. With increasing temperature, the level of organic liquid in T 2 increases accordingly, and mercury is displaced from T2 to reservoir 1. The length of areas 6 and 7 that are not closed by mercury increases, thereby increasing the resistance of these areas. When the temperature decreases, the actions occur in reverse order. Due to the high resistance of E 6 and 7, a small change in the level of organic liquid corresponds to a significant change in resistance E 6 and 7, measured between terminals 3 and 4. 1 hp f-ly, 1 ill. ё о о (/)
Description
The invention relates to the field of heat measurement and can be used to measure temperature, as well as to compensate for temperature variations of resistance in electrical circuits.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity by increasing the relative change in the resistance of the closing electrodes with temperature.
The drawing shows a contact thermometer, a general view.
Они могут иметь достаточно малое сечение и, следовательно , достаточно высокое сопротивление .The contact thermometer contains a tank 1 filled with mercury and connected to the upper end of the capillary tube 2, first 3 and second 4 terminals, tank 5 filled with an organic liquid, such as toluene, connected to the lower end of the capillary tube 2. Inside the tube 2 parallel to its axis The first 6 and second 7 electrodes are located. Their ends, remote from reservoir 1, are connected, respectively, with the first 3 and second 4 terminals. Electrodes 6 and 7 are made of metal with high resistivity. They can have a sufficiently small cross section and, therefore, a sufficiently high resistance.
7.The tank 1 is made with a variable volume, for example, of an elastic material. The tube 2 is made of an insulating material, for example glass. Terminals 3 and 4 are connected to the lower ends of the electrodes 6 and 7.
Contact thermometer operates as follows.
Нижн часть трубки заполнена органической жидкостью, а верхн - ртутью, котора замыкает накоротко верхние концы электродов 6 и 7. Уровень органической жидкости в трубке 2 зависит от температуры окружающей среды, следовательно, от температуры зависит длина незамкнутых ртутью участков электродов 6 и 7.The lower part of the tube is filled with organic liquid, and the upper part is filled with mercury, which short-circuits the upper ends of electrodes 6 and 7. The level of organic liquid in tube 2 depends on the ambient temperature;
The resistance of these areas corresponds to the ambient temperature. With
При уменьще- нии температуры уровень органической жидкости в трубке 2 понижаетс , а длина незамкнутых участков электродов 6 и 7 и их сопротивление уменьшаетс .as the temperature rises, the organic liquid expands and its level in the tube 2 rises. Mercury is expelled from tube 2 to reservoir 1, the volume of which increases. As a result, the length of the mercury-free areas of the electrodes 6 and 7 increases and, consequently, the resistance of these areas increases. With a decrease in temperature, the level of organic fluid in tube 2 decreases, and the length of the unclosed portions of electrodes 6 and 7 and their resistance decreases.
4.Due to the high resistance of the electrodes 6 and 7 to a small change in the level of the organic liquid, the resistance of the electrodes 6 and 7, measured between terminals 3 and 4, changes significantly.
