Description
This invention relates to catalysts for the decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide to dimethyl phenyl carbinol.
Целью изобретени вл етс повышение активности катализатора разложени гидроперекиси кумола за счет применени в качестве катализатора диалкилтритиокарбо- натов, используемых ранее в качестве гербицидов .The aim of the invention is to increase the activity of the decomposition catalyst for cumene hydroperoxide due to the use as a catalyst of dialkyl tritiocarbonates, previously used as herbicides.
Example. 0.3 mol of mercaptan is added dropwise to a solution of 0.3 mol of KOH in 200 ml of absolute ethanol over 30 minutes with stirring and cooling to 15-20 ° C. Then 0.3 mol of carbon disulfide, small crystals of iodine and 0.3 mol of alkyl bromide are added for 2.5 hours. The reaction mass is boiled for 8 hours, cooled and poured into ice water. The aqueous solution is extracted with sulfuric ether. The ether extracts are dried over MgSO4. Then vacuum distillation is carried out.
