The proposed gas-liquid separator includes a housing 1, a nozzle 2 of the gas-liquid mixture inlet, a nozzle 3 of the purified gas outlet. In case 1, a grate 4 is installed with filter elements 5 installed on it. The grate is equipped with a liquid discharge pipe 6. If necessary, a separating device 7 for final gas cleaning is installed above the filter elements.
Filter elements 5 are mounted on a grille 4, for example, along the vertices of a regular triangle (Fig. 3), with the large axes of the oval of the upper ends of the filter elements (dimension L in Fig. 3) parallel with each other or lie on one line.
The upper base 8 of the filtering element 5 is oval-shaped in the form of an ellipse (Fig. 3) or a flat oval (Fig. 5), the lower base 9 is made in a cylindrical shape, and the perimeter of the upper base of the element is equal to or greater than the perimeter of the lower one. The lower base 9 of the filter element 5 to simplify manufacture and achieve a larger surface and cross section for the passage of gas into

Каркас фильтрующего элемента может быть выполнен из перфорированного листа малой толщины или из прутков (ребер).inside, as a rule, is made in a circular shape. Since the upper base 8 of the filter element 5 is made in the form of an oval, and the lower 9 is circular, the element 5 is conical in its entire height, i.e. in the plane of the minor axis of the oval filter element 5 has a conical shape with a narrowing in the upper part (Fig. 1), and in the plane of the larger axis of the oval - Conical with an extension in the upper part. Such an implementation of the filter element ensures, on the one hand, an increase in the filtration surface and the achievement of the required free cross section in the separator in the upper part of the elements 5, on the other hand, ensures a uniform loading of the filtering surface as gas passes through the filter material, which contributes to improved performance and efficiency. a reduction in the flow area for the gas inside the frame of the element due to the reduction in area at the transition from a circular section the frame at the bottom of oval to top. The frame of the filter element can be made of a perforated sheet of small thickness or of rods (ribs).
Gas-liquid separator works as follows.
The gas, having passed the inlet separation and distribution devices in the apparatus, is fed for final purification to the filtration and separation section (Fig. 1). In the filter elements 5, the gas enters from the bottom and passes them from the inside to the outside. Due to the increased filtration surface and the changing configuration of the channel inside the frame of the filter element 5, the filtration surface is evenly loaded with gas.
The gas, together with small drops of liquid, passes through the filtering layer of elements 5, where they become larger, larger drops and a film of liquid are formed, which are transferred by gas to the outer surface. Fine-fiber material or bulk in a mesh can be used as the filtering layer.
The area, the spaces between the elements are also not the same: in the lower part it is smaller, in the upper part

Поэтому отвод газа с поверхности элементов также осуществл етс равномерно .more by making the top base of the elements 5 in the form of an oval. Therefore, the removal of gas from the surface of the elements is also carried out uniformly.
Due to the uniform load of the elements from the inside, the uniform venting of gas from their outer surface ensures unhindered flow of fluid down to the grate. Good drain fluid contributes to the presence of sufficient space between the elements in their upper part.
3.The gas that has been purified in the filtering elements is not exhausted, but enlarged liquid droplets are fed to the final purification in the separating device 7. The separated liquid from the filtering elements 5 and the separating device 7 is withdrawn from the apparatus through the pipe 6. The purified gas is withdrawn from the separator through nozzle 3.
Поверхность фильтрации предложенного фильтрующего элемента равна (или больше)The design of the proposed filter element is a body of rotation with a smooth transition from the circular shape of the lower base to the oval upper base with equal values of the perimeters of these bases of the element or the perimeter of the upper base is larger than the perimeter of the lower circular base, i.e. the perimeter of the upper base may be 1.3-1.4 of the perimeter of the lower base. This ratio is determined based on the location of the axes, which provides a guaranteed gap between the elements. The filtering surface of the proposed filter element is (or more)

Таким образом, конструкци предложенного фильтрующего элемента обеспечивает не только увеличение проходного сеч-ени в направлении движени очищаемого газа, но и одновременно увеличение движени фильтрации, что влечет за собой увеличение произвбди- тельности сепаратора и эффективности очистки.the filtration surface of a cylindrical element and, therefore, is larger than the filtration surface of a conical or pyramidal element. Thus, the design of the proposed filtering element provides not only an increase in the flow area in the direction of movement of the gas to be purified, but also simultaneously increases the filtration movement, which entails an increase in the separator efficiency and cleaning efficiency.
