Abstract
п. The invention relates to the technology of producing fillers and allows to improve the properties of modified calcium carbonate as a filler of polymeric materials and to simplify the process of its production. The essence of the present invention is to treat a suspension of calcium carbonate in water or an organic solvent from the group consisting of hexane, heptane, toluene and acetone with a 30% silica sol and bi- or trifunctional chlorosilane or trifunctional methoxylane. In this case, the treatment with these compounds is carried out simultaneously with a mass ratio of an aqueous suspension of calcium carbonate or its suspension in an organic solvent to calcium carbonate 1-6:: 100 or 1-10: 100, respectively. The resulting product has good flowability, retains its dispersion, and using it as a filler for electrically insulating polymer compositions allows to increase the specific volume by more than an order of magnitude (Low electrical resistance of the samples and increase their dielectric strength to 20-23 kV / mm. Modification Calcium carbonate according to this invention allows to simplify the process of obtaining the filler by conducting it in one stage and eliminating the process of washing the product. Description
д.The invention relates to the production of modified calcium carbonate, which can be used as a filler in the manufacture of rubber materials, in the building materials industry, etc.
Цель изобретени - улучшение свойств целевого продукта как наполнител полимерных материалов и упрощение процесса его получени .The purpose of the invention is to improve the properties of the target product as a filler for polymeric materials and to simplify the process of its preparation.
Использование многофункциональных хлорсиланов или ацетоксисиланов позвол ет обеспечить осаждение зол с одновременной его сшивкой, что способствует получению равномерного плотного покрыти на поверхности карбоната кальци .The use of multifunctional chlorosilanes or acetoxysilanes allows for the precipitation of the sol with simultaneous crosslinking, which contributes to obtaining a uniform dense coating on the surface of calcium carbonate.
The use of chloro- and acetoxy-substituted silanes makes it possible to create an environment most favorable for the deposition of a layer of silicon dioxide on the surface of calcium carbonate and to avoid the need to introduce metal salts for this purpose.
The method is carried out as follows.
П р и м е р 1 . PRI me R 1. To the suspension, consisting of 100 g of carbonate, drink in 70 ml of distilled water or an organic solvent, with vigorous stirring, add the appropriate amount of 30% aqueous silica sol (silica and multifunctional chlorine or acetoxysilane over 2 min, then the sample is decanted and dried for 1 hour at 200 C.
2-18.Samples according to Examples 2-18 are manufactured in a similar manner.
Specific conditions of preparation, as well as the characteristics of the samples are presented in the table.
The data in the table show that the proposed method allows to obtain modified calcium carbonate in the form of an airy powder with good flowability, which retains its dispersibility, while the product obtained by the prototype is a dense, hard lump, requiring careful grinding
The use of electrically insulating polymer compositions of calcium carbonate samples modified by the proposed method as fillers provides better electrical insulation properties compared to the same composition filled with calcium carbonate in the prototype.
The proposed method is simple due to the possibility of carrying out the reaction in one stage, due to the selected reagents, and it eliminates the washing process while simultaneously reducing the likelihood of secondary contamination of the final product.
