The output of the additional mixer t1 is connected via an additional 12 low-pass filter to second & 4 input of the harmonic number meter 15, the output of which is connected to the digital indicator 18 input through the 0frovider 16 time window, while the device input are interconnected second inputs of mixers 3 and 7. The device operates as follows. The frequency f signal under study is fed to the frequency counter input, in which it is compared to the harmonic frequency nF of the tunable frequency generator 1, and the frequency obtained by multiplying the frequency in frequency multiplier 2, frequency F of the first generator 1, swept in frequency using the 9 saw voltage generator. In this case, at the output of frequency multiplier 2, a grid of frequencies nF, () is formed with step F, the first oscillator 1 of tunable frequency. To compare frequencies, signals with frequencies f and nF are fed to the inputs of mixer 3, which in the case of equality of frequencies functions as a phase detector with a sinusoidal phase characteristic. At its output, an error signal is generated that carries information about the magnitude of the phase deviation and the frequency of the nF signal from the phase. and frequencies fy. This error signal, after amplification by the DC amplifier 13 and passed through a proportional-integrating filter 14, adjusts the first generator 1 of the tunable clock X. B, the frequency of the first oscillator 1 is synchronized in phase to the input signal under study. The synchronization moment is detected by the frequency acquisition analyzer 10, according to the signal of which the change in the sawtooth signal stops at the output of the generator 9. The output signal of the first generator 1 harmonic nF, which is captured by the measured frequency f. enters the counting input of the counter 17, the readings of which are set automatically depending on the n number of the captured harmonic. The harmonic number is determined automatically by the tunable frequency generator 5 with a slope of the tuning characteristic, similar. the slope of the tuning characteristic of generator 1. Therefore, the frequency of generator 5 is different from the frequency of generator 1 during the sawtooth period
