The control device rotates the seat depending on the movement of the eyes to the right or left, a nystagmus appears, as well as information about the speed of the slow component of the nystagmus. In proportion to the value of this characteristic, a change in the angular velocity of rotation of the chair occurs, the reaction from the output of the vestibular analyzer is enhanced. As the intensity of the reaction decreases, the angular velocity decreases. In this case, a negative angular acceleration arises, it stimulates another receptor that is symmetrical to it. An opposite sign nystagmus appears, which leads to intensive stopping of the chair, stopping it and changing the direction of rotation of the chair. In case of disturbances in the vestibular function, self-stimulation of the receptors leads to rotation in one direction, a change in the direction of rotation of the chair is difficult or absent. The duration and intensity of the nystagmus cut (O ko are different for right-sided and left (L-sided rotation. The spindle phenomenon is absent. Examined without symptoms of the disease have a nystagmus, the direction of which coincides with the direction of rotation of the chair and for each direction is shaped like a spindle. Oo O) 4; o
Description
The invention relates to medicine and can be used in otorhinolaryngology.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy of diagnosis by self-stimulation of the receptors of the vestibular apparatus and the acceleration of the method.
The method is as follows.
The examinee is placed in a chair, 1 electrodes are fixed in the reorbital region. The control device leads to the initial rotation of the chair, which depends on the random movement of the eyes to the right or left, which causes the appearance of vestibular nystagmus. Information on the speed of the slow component of nystagmus is highlighted and in proportion to the value of this characteristic, the angular velocity of rotation of the chair changes, which causes an increase in the reaction from the exit of the vestibular analyzer. The process of changing the 2nd degree of stimulation of ampullar receptors continues, it is determined by the functionality and condition of the body. As soon as the intensity of the reaction begins to decrease, the angular velocity drops, and a negative angular acceleration arises, which causes stimulation of another receptor symmetrical to it. This causes the appearance of nystagmus of the opposite sign, which leads to more intensive braking of the chair, its stop and a change in the direction of rotation of the chair. 3 The severity of the nystagmoid reaction determines the various functional characteristics of the vestibular analyzer:
In cases of impaired vestibular function, self-stimulation of the receptors leads to a predominant rotation in one direction, a change in the direction of rotation of the chair is either completely absent or extremely difficult. The duration and intensity of nystagmus is dramatically different for right-handed and left-handed rotation, the “spindle” phenomenon is absent and a feeling of discomfort appears.
Example. Patients who do not have symptoms of motion sickness have nystagmus, the direction of which coincides with the direction of rotation of the chair and for each direction in their shape resemble a “spindle”. In these stable individuals, a change in the direction of rotation of the chair, accompanied by a change in the direction of nystagmus, is carried out easily and smoothly.
