The invention relates to cigarette filters having means for directing smoke in combination with a new means for ventilating air.

The aim of the invention is to improve the taste of tobacco smoke by increasing the concentration of the stream of smoke leaving the center of the filter.

A CIGARETTE FILTER containing a cylindrical filter rod made of porous material, enclosed in a smoke-tight wrapper, placed along the rod from one end to the other and having longitudinal grooves for ventilating air located on the oral end of the filter, open at the outlet: the end and having a length less than the length a filter rod, and a strip of cigarette paper for connecting the filter to the tobacco rod, having a perforation for passing ventilation air, characterized in that, in order to improve taste of tobacco smoke by increasing the concentration of its effluent. from the central part of the filter, the latter is equipped with a longitudinal tube located along the central axis of the filter at a distance from one of its JS ends, less than the length of the filter.
