Description
The invention is an ACT plastic mass to fill teeth on smallpox acrylate.
The ACT plastic mass consists of a powder containing 74.5% methacrylate polymer, 25% polystyrene and 0.5% benzoyl peroxide and a liquid, which consists of 96% methacrylic acid methyl ester and 4% dimethylaniline. The filling mass using the ACT is prepared by kneading three parts of the powder and 1 part of the liquid. Mixing is carried out in a glass or porcelain vessel with a capacity of 10-12 ml. After mixing, the vessel is covered with a glass plate to prevent the monomer from volatilizing. After 4-6 minutes the mass at room temperature acquires optimum adhesion properties (sticking to the spatula, t nush, yess of the thread) and is placed in a prepared and well-dried tooth cavity.
After 15-20 minutes from the moment of laying the seal hardens so much that it: can be roughly processed with bur and carborundum heads.
The ACT plastic is well-colored in colors that match the color of natural teeth and allows you to improve the quality of the filling material.
The Pharmacological Committee of the USSR Ministry of Healthcare allowed the use of ACT plastic as a filling material in medical practice.
