The invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to low-voltage apparatus, in particular to fuses. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of operation. Figure 1 shows the fuse design; Fig. 2 shows the structure of a fusible element. The fuse consists of a housing 1, a current lead output 2, a copper fusible element 3, a filler 4 (Fig. 1). The fusible element includes a minimum full section area 5, full section area 6, section 7, part 8 of a full section area (Fig. 2). The fusible element 3 on the drawers 2 is fixed to ensure reliable electrical contact by welding, soldering or other methods known. The filler 4 can be made in the form of a granular filler or in the form of a monolithic structure. The minimum area 5 of the total cross section and area 6 of the full cross section of the fusible copper element are applied. the coating, copper fuse element 7 is welded to the fuse terminal (no coating is applied to it); on part 8 in the area of the total cross section of the copper fusible element, the coating may not be applied. On a copper fusible element 3 with a thickness of 0.1 mm, it is sufficient to apply a layer of nickel with a thickness of 3-15 mm, which is 0.03-0.15 of the thickness of the copper element. When the coating thickness is less than 3 mm, there is a danger of mechanical or other destruction of the coating during manufacture or operation, as well as oxygen penetration into the copper from the environment through the pores in the nickel layer. When exceeding 15 µm, there is also a danger of destruction of the coating due to its large thickness; in addition, the protective characteristics of the fuse are deteriorated in the emergency current off mode due to the high melting temperature of nickel, located in large quantities on the copper fusible element. For convenience and to simplify the process, the coating layer can be applied to the entire copper fusible element 3. In this case, in order to provide reliable protection against corrosion, in some cases it is sufficient that the coating layer is applied only to areas of reduced section of the fusible element that are in most favorable (from the point of view of corrosion) conditions and, above all, have a high temperature of about 200-300 s, in which the protective OKI-TCH copper film of copper is destroyed.
