The invention relates to non-destructive testing methods, namely to the field of ultrasonic testing, and can be used to determine the mechanical quality factor of micro parts from various materials. The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy of measuring the mechanical quality factor of microproducts. Fig. G shows a block diagram of the device proposed in Fig. 2, time diagrams explaining the operation of the device. The device contains a series-connected generator 1, an emitting and receiving transducer 2 and an amplifier 4 and an amplitude detector. The first and second comparators 6 and 7, whose inputs are connected to the output of the amplitude detector 5, are connected in series to a pulse shaper 8 whose inputs are connected to. the outputs of comparators 6 and 7, and the meter 9 of the pulse duration, as well as the successively connected peak detector 10, whose input is connected to the output of amplifier 4, and the shaper 11 of threshold levels, the outputs of which are connected with threshold inputs of comparators 6 and 7. The device operates as follows. Generator 1 generates a test signal in the form of a sequence of radio pulses with a right-angled envelope and sinusoidal filling. This signal is converted by the radiating transducer 2 into mechanical vibrations, which swing the control sample through the air gap. After the end of the radio pulses, the stubble makes free damped oscillations, decreasing according to the law-oii e; where L is the amplitude of oscillations of sample A. is the initial amplitude (at the end of the radio pulse), oi is the attenuation coefficient; T - time. These vibrations through the second air gap fall on the receiving transducer 3, where they are converted. into the electrical signal amplified by the amplifier 4. The amplitude detector 5 detects the envelope of the received signal se, the output voltage of the detector 5 is the initial voltage (at the time of the end of the radio pulse. Next, the detected signal is fed to the inputs of the comparators 6 and 7. At the same time, the electrical signal from amplifier 4 enters the input of the peak detector 10. The voltage from its output is used to form the threshold levels Ug, and ((, 2. Comparators -6 and 7, the values of which vary depending on the size of the received signal, and UQ, / UQJ is constant. The amplitude of the received signal spreads for different samples up to 30 dB. When the voltages from the output of the amplitude detector 5 are equal and the reference levels (JQJ or Llo2 at times i, and t, the comparators 6 and 7, forming voltage drops (Fig. 2). According to these differences, the pulse shaper 8 generates a pulse of duration iu i (-ij. The pulse capacity is related to the mechanical Q-factor by the following relationship: 1 where 1 is the pulse filling frequency. The measurement of the time interval if and and the indication of the result are carried out by measuring the pulse duration 9. Thus, the inclusion of a peak detector 10 and a shaper AND threshold levels allows the threshold levels of the comparators 6 and 7 to be automatically changed according to the level of the signal received from a particular sample, which increases the measurement accuracy and makes it independent of the quality factor of the test sample.
