Description
The invention relates to static mixing of fluids and can be used in various industries: chemical, food, pulp and paper, etc.
The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency of mixing.
In FIG. 1 shows a static mixer, sectional view; in FIG. 2 is a perspective view of two adjacent element plates.
The static mixer contains a tubular body 1, in which the mixing elements 2 are installed in series in the form of packets of flat corrugated plates parallel to each other with a fan arrangement of corrugations, intermediate chambers 3 can be made between the elements 3. In each of the elements 2, any two adjacent plates have opposite corrugations, for example, plate 4 corrugations 5, diverging along the flow, plate 6 - converging corrugations 7, as a result of which the outer surfaces of each pair of plates are parallel to each other. The package elements are of the same type, each of them is rotated 90 ° around the longitudinal axis of the housing 1 relative to neighboring elements.
The mixer operates as follows.
The flow of unmixed fluids flowing through the tubular casing 1 at the inlet to the first element 2 is split into many small flows flowing along the corrugation channels of plates 4 and 6; small flows recombine at the input edges of subsequent elements. At the points of intersection of the corrugations of the neighboring plates of element 2, a partial exchange of materials takes place, with · 5 contacting flows, which causes the mixing of media. The necessary degree of mixing is ensured by passing the stream through a number of elements 2. The flow of shallow flows along the corrugations 10 channels of the mixer elements 2 is characterized by different linear flow rates in different channels due to their different inclination to the longitudinal axis of the housing 1, the variability of the angles' 5 of the intersection of the channels and, in particular, active movements of particles of the media in the cross sections of the flows due to changes in the shape and cross-sectional area of each corrugation along the length 2 θ of the plate. It is important that the changes in the shape and area of the corrugations of each plate 4 are opposite to the changes in the adjacent plate 6. Due to these features, distortions and, in particular, 23 displacement of flows from channel to channel at their intersections are significantly intensified, which ensures an increase bias efficiency. Additionally, mixing occurs in the chambers 3 of the streams emerging from the element 2, directed at an angle to each other and having different speeds and different cross sections.
Increasing the mixing efficiency allows you to perform a mixer with fewer mixing elements, to reduce its material consumption.
