Description
1 The invention relates to metal cutting. A cut-off cutter is known with a stepped front surface that forms the middle and side sections of the main cutting edge so that the areas located along the tips of the cutter are understated relative to the middle section lj. A disadvantage of the known cutter is the increased cutting forces during the formation of chips and moving it along the front surface of the cutter along the slot being cut, which leads to additional friction, an increase in stresses and temperatures, and, as a result, to a longer cutter durability. The aim of the invention is to increase the durability of the cutter by reducing the cutting forces. The goal is achieved by the fact that in a cutting cutter with a stepped front surface forming the middle and side portions of the main cutting KpONiKH, the side portions of the front surface are made expanding from the main cutting edge and inclined to its middle section, and their width on the main cutting edge equal to the width of the chamfers on the back surface of the cutter. FIG. 1 shows a cutter, side view; in fig. 2 - the same, the front surface} in FIG. 3 - then cross, rear 1N surface; in fig. 4 shows a section, A-A in FIG. 1 in FIG. 5 - section, view in axonometry. The front surface 1. the cutter 2 is provided with a stepped chamfer having steps 3 and 4. When crossing bevel step 3 with the main back surface 5, the middle section 6 of the main cutting edge is formed. The side portions 7 of the main cutting edge are obtained by intersecting f juicy steps 4 of the front surface with chamfers 8 on the rear surface. The tops 9 of the cutter, formed at the intersection of the steps 4 of the chamfers 8 with the auxiliary rear surfaces 10, are located below the middle section 6 of the main cutting edge by an amount h constituting O-. 0.8 mm. The magnitude of the front corners on the chamfers is equal, - 3 - (-20) °; UZ 10 (-10). 3J The chamfer size at step 3 of the front surface of the middle edge section is chosen equal to i О О, 2 mm, and at step 4 - equal to {h 0.3-1.5 mm. Steps 4 on the front surface at the vertices 9 of the cutter are made extended in the direction of chip flow with an angle (|) of about 25-65 and inclined to the middle section of the main cutting edge by an angle Jf, equal to 2-12. The chamfers 8 are removed on the back surface at an angle in terms of Cj) FOO. With an increase in the viscosity of the material being processed, the angles, y and (it is necessary to increase. The choice of the angle value (j must be made depending on the required strength of the tips of the tool and also the equality (f. 90 ° -. The cutting process with the proposed tool takes the following way. The middle 6 and lateral 7 sections of the main cutting edge, due to the stepped position, form three streams of chips, which are diluted in height and do not interfere with each other in width during the formation of the chip and its movement along the front surface; the main cutting edge, due to the sharp angle in the plan (|), forms streams of chips moving away from the walls formed during the groove section Thanks to a large expansion in the direction of the descent, the chips of the side chamfering steps under the angle deviate from the walls of the groove; Independent chip formation of three chip streams by three sections of the main cutting edge and their free movement along the front surface ensures the reduction of forces and stresses in the cutting zone. An increase in the plan angle (180 - (p) at the tops due to the formation of chamfers on the rear surface of the stepped cutting part of the cutting tool increases their strength and heat extraction, which ultimately leads to an increase in the tool life.
