The invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to methods for the protective treatment of wood and wood materials.
1.There is a known method for the protective treatment of wood, which consists of the impregnation of silicates and metal salts 1.
2.A method of treating wood materials is also known, including the separate impregnation of wood materials with water soluble silicates and protective salts of metals 2.
The disadvantage of these methods is low quality processing.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the quality of processing.
This goal is achieved by the fact that the impregnation of wood materials with protective salts is carried out before the treatment with water-soluble silicates, and before the treatment with silicates the materials are impregnated with a solution of sodium hydroxide, which consists of the impregnation of silicate
1,5-3,0 7, .A solution of caustic soda is used at a concentration of 1.5-3.0 7,.
An example of the method.
Protective treatment of pine samples of rectangular cross section, the dimensions of which are equal to 150x150x500 mm, is carried out,
To obtain control data, a parallel test of the same samples of defenseless processing is carried out.
According to a known method, the samples are impregnated in a solution of sodium silicate for 3 hours.
8-10% .then it is up to 8-10% moisture and impregnated for 3 hours in a solution of chromium-plated zinc chloride. Samples are injected for 3-4 days. According to the proposed method, the samples are first impregnated with a solution of chromed zinc chloride with a concentration of 1.5-3.0%, and then after drying, they are impregnated with an aqueous solution of caustic soda with a concentration of 1.5-3.0% and impregnated with an aqueous solution of sodium silicate with a concentration of 1.5 -3.0%, while the samples are impregnated in three cycles. In the first cycle, the prickling is carried out on the 75 mm thick head with a 50 mm pitting needle, in the second cycle - by 50 mm with a 25 mm pitch - in the third cycle - by 25 mm with a 12.5 mm pitch, and the intermediate and final drying wire t to a moisture content of 8-10%.
The results of the comparative tests are shown in the table.
The proposed method of processing wood materials reduces the water absorption, swelling, as well as increasing the bio-and fire resistance of materials.
