Description
The invention relates to antenna technology and is intended for receiving or emitting electromagnetic waves with rotating polarized fields.
[1].Known emitter of the turnstile type of 5 vibrators crossed mutually perpendicular, powered in quadrature [1].
The disadvantages of the turnstile emitter are its narrowband, as well as the need to use additional power circuits consisting of a power divider 10 and a 90 degree phase-shifting element.
[2] .The closest in technical essence to the invention is a turnstile antenna containing a symmetric vibrator and two pairs of additional vibrators 15 [2].
A disadvantage of the known device is its narrowband.
The aim of the invention is to increase 20 broadband.
The goal is achieved by the fact that four directional couplers made in the form of metal conductors placed parallel to each of the arms of the symmetric vibrator and separated from them by a dielectric are introduced into the turnstile antenna, which contains a symmetric vibrator and two pairs of additional vibrators, while additional vibrators are placed orthogonal to the shoulders of a symmetric vibrator, 3 θ are paired in parallel, oriented in opposite directions and each connected to one of the metal conductors directed of the detectors, moreover, additional vibrators of one pair are connected to the ends of the metal conductors located at different arms of the symmetrical vibrator that are distant relative to the feeding location, and additional vibrators of the other pair are connected to the proximal ends.
In FIG. 1 shows a turnstile antenna, general view; in FIG. 2 is a graph of the frequency dependence of the elliticity coefficient along the axis of the experimental turnstile antenna sample.
5—8.The device contains a symmetric vibrator, the shoulders of which 1 and 2 excite directional couplers in the form of metal conductors 3 with dielectric gaskets 4, and additional vibrators 5-8.
The device operates as follows.
Shoulders 1 and 2 of a symmetric vibrator through directional couplers, which are metal conductors 3 with dielectric 4, excite additional vibrators 5–8, which are rotated 90 ° and are excited with a phase shift of 90 ° relative to arms 1 and 2. If the amplitudes of the orthogonal field components are equal from the shoulders 1 and 2 and additional vibrators 5-8, the antenna emits electromagnetic waves of circular polarization.
As can be seen from the graph (Fig. 2), the axial ellipticity coefficient of the experimental sample of the turnstile antenna is 0.65-1.0 in the frequency range 1.2-2 GHz, while the frequency band of the prototype and analogues does not exceed 5% f cp (fcp - the average frequency of the operating range).
The technical and economic effect is due to the achieved broadband device, which reduces the cost of manufacturing and tuning turnstile antennas.
