4 VI. The invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure, in particular, to a tool for the hot pressing of metals, mainly aluminum alloys, and may find application in the press shops of metallurgical and engineering plants. The known needle for pressing tubes from a container, is made in the form of a rod with a calibrating section, a shank for fastening and an axial cavity with a bottom on the side of the calibrating section for supplying coolant 1. The disadvantage of the well-known needle is that the needle cools along the entire length and, accordingly, cools the pressed metal both in the deformation zone and far from approaching it, which leads to increased power consumption (since the ingot must be heated to higher temperature) and an increase in the pressing force as a result of undercuts in the whole deformed area. . The purpose of the invention is to reduce energy consumption and pressing forces. The goal is achieved by the fact that the needle for pressing tubes from a container made in the form of a rod with a calibrating section, a shank for fastening and an axial cavity for supplying a cooling fluid, from the calibrating section, the bottom, in the bottom has channels with a total area of the passage sections, 0.5-0.9 from the cross-sectional area of the axial cavity, evenly spaced around the circumference at an angle of 45-60 to the needle axis, and the surface delimiting the cavity at a distance from the bottom equal to 0.25-0.35 of the diameter of the container is covered thermal insulation tion. The drawing shows a needle for pressing tubes. The needle is made in the form of a rod with a calibrating section 1, a shank for fastening 2 and an axial cavity 3 with bottom 4 on the side of the calibrating section. In the bottom, the channels 5 are uniformly located on the circumference. At a distance of 6 from the bottom, equal to 0.25-035 of the diameter of the container from which the extrusion is made, the surface bounding the axial cavity is covered with thermal insulation 6. The needle works as follows. In the cavity 3 serves coolant. From the half-pitch 3, through the channels 5 at the end of the needle, the cooling liquid flows to the inner surface of the pressed tubes in the maximum proximity to the matrix. The presence of channels 5 at the needle end allows for more intensive cooling of the metal precisely at the exit of the deformation zone, which excludes the possibility of its expansion; roar to critical temperature (temperature of crack formation or burn-through). Due to the presence of heat insulation 6, the coolant is cooled only by a coolant within a length of 0.25-0.35 times the diameter of the container used, which is in contact with the metal to be pressed in the exit portion of the deformation zone. The application of the proposed needles by 12-13% will reduce energy consumption and by 14-15% reduce the force during pressing of pipes compared with pressing of pipes using a known needle.
