Abstract

A litter for trapping liquid excrements in particular domestic animals as cats and rodents, comprising a mixture of at least an expansive clays and porous materials, wherein the porous material is a crushed cellular concrete and/or gas silicate preferablly crushed to grain size 0.5 mm to 5 mm. The expansive clay may be a bentonite pellets with sizes 0.5 mm to 5 mm, wherein at least some of them may form bentonite in all shades of colours.

Technical field

The technical solution relates to litter for trapping liquid excrement, especially domestic animals such as cats and rodents, composed of a mixture of at least swellable clays and porous substances.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Litters of the above type have been known for a long time.

From the Czech utility model no. 8492 is known, for example, for litter for small pets, for collecting urine and solid excrement of small pets, such as cats and rodents, consisting of a mixture of absorbent and / or porous substances, the absorbent and / or porous substance being bentonite, montmorillonite, illit and zeolites.

In the Czech utility model no. No. 10405, said litter is comprised of bentonite granules of a predetermined size and having a predetermined moisture content.

All these litters have proved to be more or less effective in practice.

The essence of the technical solution

The object of the present invention is to provide a litter of the above type which has the highest absorbency at the lowest net weight while maintaining lumps.

This object is achieved by the porous material being porous concrete and / or a gas silicate, preferably crushed to a grain size of 0.5 mm to 5 mm. As a result, the net weight of the litter is reduced, depending on the amount of aerated concrete and / or gas silicate used, so that it is easier to handle, both before and after use. Depending on the amount of aerated concrete and / or gaseous silicate used, the absorbency can be increased by 60% or more, which brings further benefits for the user.

According to a variant of the invention, preferably the swellable clay may be bentonite granules having a size of 0.5 mm to 5 mm, at least a part of which may preferably form bentonite in all available shades of color (white, brown, gray-blue, beige, bluegreen and blend mixtures thereof) .

The mixture may preferably contain 0.5 to 3 volumes of crushed aerated concrete and / or gas silicate per volume of bentonite granules or may contain 0.5 to 3 volumes of bentonite granules per volume of crushed aerated concrete and / or gas silicate.

The composition may contain an environmentally acceptable biostatic and / or biocidal, biologically and / or physically and / or chemically activated and stabilized organic extract containing at least one aromatic and / or biocidal, biocidal and / or chemically activated and stabilized organic extract to reduce bacterial, viral and fungal attack and thereby reduce odor potential. / or aliphatic acid releasing hydrogen ions in aqueous solutions.

The composition may also contain at least one substance selected from the group consisting of essential oils, phenols, flavones, quinones, alkaloids or derivatives thereof to improve their attractiveness for use by pets.

However, for aesthetic reasons, at least a portion of the swellable clay and aerated concrete and / or gaseous silicate particles and optionally the organic extract of the mixture can be provided with at least a portion of its surface with a non-toxic dye.

Examples of technical solution

Example 1

The litter consists of two parts by volume of bentonite and one part by volume of crushed aerated concrete. Bentonite granules have 25 wt. % of a size of 0.5 mm to 2 mm and of 75 wt. % size2 to 5 mm. Crushed aerated concrete also has 25 wt. % size 0.5 mm to 2 mm and of 75 wt. % size 2 to 5 mm. The resulting moisture of the litter after its production is up to 9% by weight.

The litter consists of 0.5 parts by volume of crushed aerated concrete per volume of bentonite granules, wherein both the crushed aerated concrete and the bentonite granules have a grain size of 0.5 to 5 mm.

In all of the above embodiments, the litter may further comprise an environmentally acceptable biostatic and / or biocidal, biologically and / or physically and / or chemically activated and stabilized organic extract containing at least one aromatic and / or aliphatic acid releasing hydrogen ions in aqueous solutions. and / or at least one substance selected from the group consisting of essential oils, phenols, flavones, quinones, alkaloids or derivatives thereof. At least a portion of the swellable clay and aerated concrete particles and optionally the organic extract of the mixture may also be provided with at least a portion of its surface with a non-toxic dye. Instead of aerated concrete, it is possible to use a crushed gas silicate having a grain size of 0.5 mm to 5 mm or a mixture of both.
