Abstract

Technical field

The invention relates to seating and reclining furniture with a backrest rotatably mounted in a furniture framework, as well as to at least one extension extending from the furniture framework.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

With most of the known seating and reclining furniture of this kind, the backrest is embedded in a furniture frame on a fixed axis. Since the backrest does not protrude rearward when the seatback is folded, i.e. in the reclining position, the backrest can only be formed very short under the axis, or the axis must be arranged at a long distance from the rear wall of the furniture frame.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an arrangement in which the backrest is positioned such that it reaches the rear wall of the furniture both in the seating position and in the reclining position, but nevertheless exhibits a height such that or width.

This object is achieved in the case of the seating and reclining furniture according to the invention, which consists in that the backrest is supported on each side by two points in the seating position of superimposed points in the guides of which the upper guide extends forward and the lower guide upwards . In the furniture according to the invention, when lowering from the seating position to the reclining position, while rotating, the upper part is guided forward and the lower part is upwards, thereby achieving the object according to the invention. This results in a homogeneous, continuous rotating movement of the backrest.

In a further particularly advantageous embodiment according to the invention, which is simple and space-saving, the guides are arranged on the side surfaces connected to the furniture frame.

Within the scope of the invention, it can also be formed as one of the lines as a straight line, also one of the lines as curved.

It is further proposed that in the lower region of the backrest a spring is pressed to push it into a seated position. This achieves, on the one hand, that the backrest is held in the seated position and, on the other hand, it is also aided in raising from the seated position to the seated position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

According to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the furniture frame 1 consists essentially of a rear wall 2, two side handles 3 and a cross bar 4. The guide 5 of the handles 3 are guided by rollers 6 of the extension 7, which is supported on the floor by rollers 8 at the other end. .

The backrest 10 has a frame 11 which is padded on both sides. As can be seen in connection with FIG. 3 and 4, the frame 11 and thus the backrest 10 are mounted on both sides at two points 12 and 13 in the guides 14 and 15. The upper guide 14 extends in the forward direction and below the recliner guide 15 upwards.

In the illustrated embodiment, the guides 14 and 15 are arranged in side plates 16 which are connected to the furniture frame 1.

Numerous variations are possible within the scope of the invention. In particular, the invention is not limited to furniture with only one pull-out and the reclining surface can therefore extend parallel to the length of the backrest 10. The invention can also be applied to furniture types in which a second pull-out with additional padding can be removed from the padded extension. the folded backrest 10 represents a pillow under the head. Also, an additional cushion could be lowered in the extension 7 after the seat cushion 9 has been raised.

Also, as shown, the conduits 14, 15 need not be formed as a straight conduit. On the contrary, it would be possible to make at least one of the two guides 14, 15 curved or curved, respectively.
