Abstract

A wrapping mean, especially for treatment and rehabilitation, spa and cosmetic purposes, and for relaxation, consisting of at least three layers (1,2,3). The upper layer (1) intended for heating is made of a stronger soft material. The lower layer (2) intended for contact with the body is made of a thin absorbent material, which allows to retain an appropriate amount of active and/or therapeutic substance in contact with the skin. The bottom layer (2) is made of flannel and/or terry. At least one layer (3) with an insulating component is placed between the bottom layer (2) and the top layer (1) to prevent or limit the leakage of liquid into the top layer (1) and to create a suitable environment between the body skin and the top layer (1). The insulating element of layer (3) is made of waterproof material. The wrapping means is provided with at least one storage element (6) for inserting the medicinal and/or active ingredient formed between the bottom layer (2) and the top layer (1). The bottom layer (2) and the top layer (1) or all layers (1,2,3) are temporarily connected to each other so that they form one unit.

Description

The field of technology

This technical solution refers to a wrapping means that is created by combining layers of different materials, while said means contains at least three layers of suitable material, while each layer has a predetermined function, while the means serves independently or as part of clothing, footwear or a clothing accessory for medical expenses, relaxation, cosmetic and rehabilitation purposes, including possible applications in the field of veterinary care alone or as part of wrapping material for animals.

Current state of the art

Currently, a variety of wraps are used for the treatment of various types of respiratory tract and chest and back muscle diseases, which involve the use of a wet towel or other material that is impregnated with an active substance to relieve the adverse symptoms of the disease or for systemic treatment. For example, to reduce the patient's temperature, a wet towel is loosely placed on the patient's chest and other parts of the body, but the towel is not attached to the body. In the case of a hot compress, the same problem of restriction of movement appears, especially when children often cannot stand lying still and the effective action of the compress may not occur due to the loss of contact of the compress with the body.

In the field of veterinary care, a similar method is rarely used, with exceptions, and no suitable means are yet available that would allow the application of the wrap.

The essence of the technical solution

The essence of this technical solution is a wrapping agent consisting of at least three layers, while each layer has a predetermined function and the agent serves independently or as part of clothing, footwear, clothing accessories or a scarf for animals, especially for treatment and rehabilitation and for relaxation in the case of humane use also for cosmetic purposes.

If the wrap does not form part of a garment, shoe, clothing accessory or scarf for animals, but is used separately, it can advantageously contain retaining and/or fixation elements that allow the actual fixation on the body and wearing of the wrap while walking and other physical activities.

The technical solution of the packaging means includes at least three layers, while the upper one, i.e. the outer layer is made of a stronger, soft material that allows arbitrary shaping of the mentioned means and does not restrict movement, preferably of 100% cotton and/or tevir (PES wadding) and/or blanket and/or sheep fleece and/or fleece and/or a thicker towel, especially a terry towel, or the top layer consists of a combination of these materials.

In the case of tevir (PES), due to its quality, a relatively high material and heat profile is achieved even with a relatively low weight. In this case, the thickness of the material and its inoculation properties are decisive rather than its weight. In this case, the designation "stronger" refers to its thermal insulation properties. As for the towel, its weight should be at least 350 g/m ² . With the exception of PES and similar synthetic or predominantly synthetic materials such as fleece, a suitable weight of material to form the top layer is usually in the range of 400 to 550 g/m ² . In the case of sheep fleece, typical weight values range from 1,000 g/m ² to 3,000 g/m ² , although it may be appropriate to use sheep's wool with a lower grammage in the range of 300 to 1,000 g/m ² . It is therefore clear from the above description that only materials that have a low thermal insulation capacity are not suitable for the top layer. The choice of the material of the top layer also depends on the specific application, because a larger weight is not suitable for small children due to the body load, for example when applied to the chest in the form of a wrap belt.

The function of the top layer is primarily thermal insulation, which is sufficient to help warm the area between the body and the layer, which ultimately leads to the desired effect on the human body. In the case of application of a cold pack, when the body temperature at the place of application drops, hypothermia initially occurs. This takes about two to three minutes and leads to vasoconstriction of the blood vessels. After stabilization of temperature, vasoconstriction changes to vasodilation. This phase should last about 30-40 minutes. Eventually, an increase in temperature occurs and the site becomes overheated, causing local vasodilation. This final phase should last 60-80 minutes. The dressings should be removed after two hours, three hours at the most. If the means should be used repeatedly, it is necessary to observe a break of about three to four hours.

The bottom, that is, the inner layer designed for contact with the body, is made of a thin absorbent material allowing to maintain a suitable amount of active and/or therapeutic substance in contact with the skin.

It is preferably made of flannel and/or terrycloth, preferably with a weight of 300-600 g/m ² , more preferably with a weight of 400 to 500 g/m ² , especially with a weight of 450 g/m ² . The bottom layer can be made of any material that meets hygienic requirements and is sufficiently absorbent and comfortable for contact with the skin. In the case of using a wrapping agent for veterinary purposes, the requirements for the quality of the material are of course lower.

At least one layer containing an insulating element is placed between the bottom layer and the top layer to prevent or limit leakage of fluid into the top layer and to create a suitable environment between the body skin and the top layer. The function of the middle layer therefore consists mainly in creating and/or maintaining a moist environment between the body and the top layer, in which the active and/or medicinal substance can be simultaneously released into the body. Along with this, thermal insulation also occurs due to the retention of water vapor.

The insulating element is any waterproof material. The insulating element is preferably rubber and/or medical heating foil and/or polyethylene and/or foil. If it is necessary to regulate the evaporation of water, the insulating element consists of a membrane with a different level of vapor permeability, while the effect of the wrapping means is generally the highest when the transfer of vapor to the upper layer is completely prevented. The insulating element can be created from a combination of different materials that meet the above requirements.

Insulating elements can be advantageously connected to the carrier, e.g. terry material. In one preferred embodiment, the layer with the insulating component is made of rubberized terry cloth.

Advantageously, at least one storage element can be formed between the bottom and the top layer, the function of which is to transport the medicinal and/or active ingredient. The storage element can contain e.g. pocket.

Different components can be inserted into the storage element as needed according to the intended effect, for example onion, apple, leaves, herbs or other active or medicinal ingredients.

The bottom and top layer or all layers can be temporarily connected to one another into one unit, while Velcro or connecting elements can advantageously be used to connect these layers, e.g. buttons.

Preferably, the top layer is permanently bonded to the adjacent layer, while the bottom layer is removable. In an advantageous embodiment, specifically in the case when the wrapping means contains a wrapping belt or occupies a larger area of the garment or clothing accessory, the bottom layer is attached to the remaining layers by means of strips of fabric, so-called tissues. In the case where the wrapping means is wrapped around the body, it is advantageous when its ends are connected by a fixing element, for example a Velcro fastener.

In a variant embodiment, when the wrapping means fully or partially contains a wrapping belt for fastening the belt around any part of the body, e.g. torso, arm, leg and neck, the wrapping means is equipped with at least one fixing element formed on the inner and outer layers of the wrapping means, whereby the fixing elements can be Velcro and/or a button and/or a fixing element enabling the circular connection of the wrapping belt around the covered parts of the body , while the length of the wrap can be changed arbitrarily, and it is most suitable when the fixing element is a velcro, which enables continuous adjustment of the length of the wrap. The fixing element is usually formed on the outer sides of the top and bottom layers at the opposite ends of the wrapping means or wrapping strips.

Due to the applicability for different age categories, at least ten advantageous variants of the size of the wrapping belts are introduced. In the first variant for newborns, the wrapping belt allows you to wrap around the circumference of the chest in a length ranging from 40 to 55 cm, while the height of the belt varies between 10 and 15 cm. In the second variant for toddlers, the wrap belt is designed for a circumference of 55 to 65 cm with a belt height of 14 to 18 cm. In the third variant for preschool and school children, the wrap belt is designed for a circumference of 65 to 75 cm with a waist height between 16 and 20 cm. In the fourth variant for teenagers, the waist belt is designed with a circumference of 75 - 85 cm with a waist height between 18 - 27 cm. The adult version is designed with a circumference over 80 cm with a different waist height over 27 cm.

The belt proposed here can be made in other size variants for use on other parts of the body, e.g. on the thigh or on the arm, in which case the belt can be used mainly for the treatment of inflammation and muscle pain and for relaxation, spa and cosmetic purposes.

The wrap can be applied to different parts of the body, e.g. in form - or as part of a bandage for the neck, shoulders, knees and elbows. Wrapping agents can be contained in any clothing or suitable footwear or clothing accessories, including scarves, hats, gloves, etc. Wrapping means can be dimensionally designed to form a separate garment, shoe or garment accessory.

In fig. 2 and 3 are arm and leg wraps made using a wrap. The leg covers can also be used while walking, especially if they are equipped with anti-slip treatment on the side of the tread. It is advantageous to use a wrapping agent as part of a scarf for breastfeeding women. The wrapping agent can be further used as a part of slippers, e.g. in the area of the instep and the like.

In an advantageous embodiment, when the wrapping agent is used in the form or as part of a wrapping strip,

SK 207-2020 U1 the wrapping means can be equipped with at least two fixing elements in the form of hooks, which are firmly and/or temporarily connected to the outer and/or inner layer of the wrapping means or the wrapping belt in order to prevent the wrapping means or the wrapping belt from falling when walking or other movement.

In an advantageous embodiment of the wrapping means in the form of a wrapping belt for children, the fixing elements are formed in various decorative shapes resembling animals and/or other popular themes.

Implementation examples

Example 1

The wrapping agent according to this technical solution contains three layers 1, 2, 3, while each layer has a predetermined function, an agent serving independently or as part of clothing, footwear, clothing accessories or a scarf for animals, especially for medical and rehabilitation purposes and for relaxation and in in case of human use also for cosmetic purposes.

The top, that is, the outer layer 1, is made of a stronger, soft material that allows for arbitrary shaping of the device and does not restrict movement. In this case, it is made of 100% cotton and teviro (PES wadding), which provide sufficient thermal insulation and serve to overheat the space between the body and this layer, thus providing the desired effect on the human body.

The bottom, that is, the inner layer 2, designed for contact with the body, is made of a thin absorbent material that allows maintaining an appropriate amount of the active and/or therapeutic substance in contact with the skin. In this example, it is made of terry cloth with a weight of 450 g/m ² , which meets hygienic requirements and is sufficiently absorbent and comfortable for contact with the skin. In the case of using a wrapping agent for veterinary purposes, the requirements for the quality of the material are of course lower.

Between the lower layer 2 and the upper layer 1 is placed at least one layer 3 containing an insulating component to prevent or limit the leakage of liquid into the upper layer 1 and to create a suitable environment between the body skin and the upper layer 1. The insulating element in this embodiment is rubber bonded to terry material, which represents the carrier of the insulating element of this layer 3. Layer 3 is thus made of rubberized terry material.

Example 2

Wrapping device according to example 1, in which a pair of storage elements 6 is formed between the lower layer 2 and the upper layer 1, the function of which is to carry the medicinal and/or active substance. The storage element 6 according to this example is a bag into which various ingredients can be placed according to the intended effect, for example onion, apple, leaves, herbs or other positively acting or healing ingredients.

Example 3

Wrapping means according to example 1 or 2, in which the upper layer 1 is permanently connected to the adjacent layer 3 and the lower layer 2 is removable.

Example 4

The wrapping means according to example 3, where the wrapping means is a wrapping belt, or where the wrapping means forms a larger part of the garment or clothing accessory, while the lower layer 2 is attached to the remaining layers 1, 3 by means of fabric strips, e.g. tissues. In order to fasten the wrapping means around the body part, the wrapping means is equipped at its ends with a fixing element 5 formed by Velcro.

Example 5

The wrapping means according to example 4, where the wrapping means is equipped with two fixing elements 4 in the form of hooks, which are firmly and/or temporarily attached to the top layer 1 and/or the bottom layer 2 of the wrapping means to prevent the wrapping means from falling when walking or other movement.

Example 6

The wrapping agent according to example 1 contained in any clothing, footwear, clothing accessory, including a scarf, hats, gloves or in a scarf for animals.

The technical solution is industrially usable for use by individuals, especially for therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes, for relaxation, cosmetics and for veterinary use in animal treatment and rehabilitation.

CLAIMS FOR PROTECTION 1. Wrapping agent, especially for treatment and rehabilitation, spa and cosmetic purposes, and for relaxation, consisting of at least three layers (1, 2, 3), where the upper layer (1) intended for heating is made of a stronger soft material, the lower the layer (2) intended for contact with the body is made of a thin absorbent material that allows to keep the appropriate amount of active and/or therapeutic substance in contact with the skin, the layer (2) is made of flannel and/or terry cloth, between the bottom layer (2 ) and the top layer (1) is placed with at least one layer (3) with an insulating component to prevent or limit the leakage of liquid into the top layer (1) and to create a suitable environment between the skin of the body and the top layer (1), while the insulating element of the layer ( 3) is made of a waterproof material, characterized by the fact that it is equipped with at least one storage element (6) for inserting the medicinal and/or active ingredient formed between the lower layer (2) and the upper layer (1), while the lower layer (2) and top layer and (1) or all layers (1, 2, 3) are temporarily connected to each other so that they form a single unit. 2. Wrapping agent according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of the layers (1, 2, 3) is connected to the adjacent layer by at least one fixing element (5). 3. Wrapping means according to claim 2, characterized in that the bottom layer (2) is attached to the remaining layers (1, 3) by means of strips of fabric, the so-called tissues. 4. Wrapping device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the outer surface of the lower layer (2) and the outer surface of the upper layer (1) are equipped at mutually opposite ends with at least one fixing element (5) to form a circular connection of the wrapping means. 5. A wrapping device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it is equipped with at least two fastening elements (4) for attachment to a part of the body, which are permanently and/or temporarily connected to the top layer (1) and/or the middle layer layer (3) and/or the bottom layer (2) so that they prevent the packaging means/means from falling when walking or other movement. 6. Wrapping means according to claim 5, characterized in that the length of the holding element (4) is adjustable. 7. Wrap means according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it has the form of a wrap belt designed to wrap around parts of the body, or has the shape of a leg cover or an arm cover, or has the form of a head covering. 8. Wrapping means according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it has the form or is part of a scarf for animals. 9. Wrapping means according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it forms part of a wrapping belt and/or clothing and/or footwear and/or a clothing accessory. 10. A wrapping agent according to claim 9, characterized in that it is part of a scarf for nursing women.
