Composite toy, e.g. in the form of a small animal or doll

The present invention relates to toys and has been developed in particular with respect to the possible use for the manufacture of toys in the form of small animals or dolls, which may be e.g. combined with food products as gifts or surprises, inserted into hollow food products, such as chocolate eggs.

In this area, there is a need to give even greater emphasis to the gaming component of gifts and surprises: it is a requirement that is difficult to satisfy with conventional single-piece toys. Because of this, a solution has already been used in the past, e.g. for chocolate egg surprises, to ensure the toy or play in several parts: this way the user (typically a child) takes the toy from an egg (usually inserted in a protective container) and then assembles it while performing a play activity.

It is an object of the invention to design a toy that has been improved in this respect, in particular with regard to the possibility of designing a small animal or doll that can occupy differently selected positions to the satisfaction of the user.

This object of the present invention is accomplished by an actor having the features explicitly indicated in the claims that follow.

The invention will now be described on the basis of a non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, where FIG. 1 and 2 according to the invention, in general, perspective view, in two different positions of use, and FIG. 3 is an illustration of FIG. 1 and 2 in cross section to show the inner structure of the playground.

In the drawings, the play is generally denoted by 1, and in the embodiment shown here takes the form of a small animal, such as a toy. cows or buffalo. Of course, this choice of designation is completely open and can generally extend to e.g. different exteriors of anthropomorphic and / or zoomorphic persons. Furthermore, the invention easily tends to realize completely different toys (eg vehicles, etc.).

In the embodiment shown, toy 1 consists essentially of three parts, ie:

a central spherical body 2 having a diametrically through hole 3, a front body 4 which may have an outer surface 5 defining anthropomorphic and / or zoomorphic features, and an inner, callot surface 6, and a posterior body 7 which it may have, similar to the front body 4, an external surface 8 that reproduces anthropomorphic and / or zoomorphic features, as well as an internal, calcite surface 9.

Of course, the annotations anterior and posterior, referring to bodies 4 and 7, refer to the exterior portion reproduced by the toy: it should be said that this connotation is completely indicative and open-ended and thus has no restrictive character. In the assembled device, the additional bodies 4 and 7 are fixed to the spherical body 2 by contacting the spherical surfaces 6 and 9 with the spherical body 2, in particular the polar regions thereof, into which the ends of the through hole 3 open.

In this case, any additional body 4, 7 and the main body 2 which, in the embodiment shown, enables their relative orientation along the identified spherical surface with the outer surface of the body 2, which are adapted to the gates 6 and 9, are thus formed.

The additional bodies 4 and 7 also have complementary formations 10 and 11, arranged together to define a ball joint with a connecting center marked P, which practically coincides with the center of the spherical surface of the body 2.

In the embodiment shown, the coupling portion 10 is formed by a stem 12 projecting radially from the inner calotte surface 6 of the body 4 in a radial direction, and which at its free end bears a spherical head or core 13.

The complementary coupling portion 11 is thus formed from a stem 14 projecting radially from the inner calotte surface 9 of the body, and which at its free end bears a cup-like formation 15, thereby defining the cup or seat for receiving the ball 13.

Parts 10 and 11, as well as bodies 2, 4 and 7, are preferably made entirely of plastic material. As a result, the beaker 15 is capable of radial loosening to some extent (magnified by any notches present in the oral section), allowing it to be closely connected to the ball head 13.

Of course, the coupling combination shown here is merely an example and can be replaced by a functional equivalent coupling configuration.

In order to optimize the invention, however, it is important that the junction point P coincides, or at least substantially, coincides with the center of the surface of the spherical body 2.

However, it should be borne in mind that this body does not have to have a spherical structure in its entirety (although this solution is preferred for many reasons and for reasons of structural simplicity): spherical adjustment is essentially sufficient for those parts intended to cooperate with the calotte defined by the inner surfaces 6 and 9 of additional bodies 4 and 7.

It should also be noted that the toy does not necessarily have to have two additional bodies: in order to carry out the invention it is essentially sufficient that there is only one of these bodies. Again, it is important to emphasize that it is not essential for surfaces 6 and 9 to have a spherical design in addition to that of body 2 in order to support additional bodies 4, 7 on the spherical surface of the main body. To this end, the spherical cup surface (although preferred) may be replaced by non-spherical cups designed to remain away from the surface of the body 2 except around their peripheral circular regions. At least one of the advantages of the invention may again be retained if the coupling between the main body 2 and the additional bodies 4, 7, instead of being achieved by a spherical surface where it is restricted (also referring to the arrangement of the hinges 10, 11) in a dimension such that it is formed along a circular surface (i.e., a more correct path), e.g. with cylindrical coupling surfaces.

Folding with spherical surfaces is obviously the preferred solution; however, assembly along a circular path should be considered within the scope of the invention.

From the foregoing, it will be apparent that the structure described above ideally relies on the formation of toys in the form of small animals or dolls that easily take on different postures, such as those shown e.g. in FIG. 1 and 2, simply as a result of different orientations of additional bodies 4 and 7 relative to the main body 2, and hence different relative orientations of bodies 4 and 7.

In FIG. 1 is e.g. showing the posture in which the animal represented by toy 1 is substantially straight, while in FIG. 2 shows the posture of the same animal, fully turned to one side. The exact same structure allows the exterior represented by the device to be restrained in the position in which it lies or is raised, etc., but at the user's choice.

As stated earlier, it is used for the realization of the exterior, such as. although preferred, it is optional for the use of the compound toy of the invention which may be used for other purposes.
