Abstract

The present technical problem is solved by using a splint for measurement of active knee angle tracking, featuring an assembled measuring system which combines an adaptable mechanical framework with a computer- supported sensor element for measurement of the kinesthetic sensation in the knee joint. A bearing (2) and a basic framework (3) are fastened onto a carrying plate (1). A height-adjustable framework (4), which can be fixed by a screw at a selected height, is mounted into the basic framework (3). On the adjustable framework (4), a fixed guide (5) is fastened, to which there is mounted a length-adjustable thigh splint (7) which can be fixed at a selected position by a screw. A movable guide (6) which rotates around the angle sensor (9) axis is connected with the fixed guide (5) via the angle sensor (9). A length-adjustable tibia splint (8), which can be fixed by a screw at a selected position, is mounted onto the movable guide (6). A USB cable (10) is leading off the angle sensor (9) to connect itself to a personal computer (11).
