Abstract

The chalk holder consists of a body (1) and a collar (2). The upper part of the body features an opening for inserting chalk and extends into a cone-shaped mouth. It features notches (3) which divide the upper part of the body into radial flexible lamellas. When the collar is set to the position as shown in figure 2, the diameter of the opening on top of the holder decreases. The lamellas exert pressure onto the chalk and keep it in the desired position by friction.
