Abstract

The invention presents the structure of a winding mechanism for winding up a connection cable in case of apparatuses with double electric insulation without the need of the third earthing conductor. The connection cable can be pulled out of an apparatus for an optional length of up to 2 m and the mechanism snaps in at the release of the connection cable. At the repeated short pull-out, the snapping mechanism is released again and a recovery spring automatically pulls the connection cable into the housing. The winder consists of a housing (1), winding wheel (2) with sliding rings (8a) and (8b), two contact blades (6a), recovery spring (5), recovery spring roller (4), catch (7a, 7b and 7d), connection cable (3), wheel cover (10) and fixing screw (11). When the mechanism is not snapped in, the connection cable (3) is automatically wound on the winding wheel (2) by the action of the recovery spring (5). A pivoting part of the catch (7a) is inserted into the housing (1), enabling the winding mechanism to snap in by means of a catch segment (7b), as soon the connection cable (3) is released. The winding wheel (2) wears radial guiding grooves in which a guiding plug of the catch (7d) is sliding. By using the guiding grooves, the plug rotates the catch segment of the catch (7b) into such a position that the mechanism is either snapped in or it enables the pull-out or winding of the connection cable.
