Na spodnji strani izdelka, ki bo v nadaljevanju poenostavljeno poimenovan kar deska, je na voljo primerna drsna površina, ki omogoča karseda gladko in tekoče drsenje deske po zasneženi ali poledeneli površini in ki je v večini primerov obdana z ob straneh razporejenima, vzdolžno potekajočima robnikoma.
