Abstract

The miniature module for surge protection in power networks consists of a two-piece chassis (1) consisting of a lower (2) and an upper part (3), featuring connection pins (4) reaching through grooves (5) in the connecting area (6). The lower part (2) of the chassis (1) can be assembled with the help of plugs (20) on the upper part (3) of the chassis (1), to fit into openings (11) on the contact panel (10) of the lower part (2) of the chassis (1), as well as by a graded wall (18) on one side of the upper part (3) of the chassis (1), which fits to the graded wall (8) of the lower part (2) of the chassis (1). The thermal circuit breaker (16) is attached with the help of a positioning leg (22) with extensions (14, 15) built into the lower part (2) of the chassis (1). The operation of the thermal circuit breaker (16) is provided by a contact leg (21), which is stress bent and soldered by a soldering bit (26) to the varistor terminal (25).
