Abstract

The system (1) includes an asynchronous motor (2) mechanically coupled to a wheel (3) of the vehicle, an accumulator (4), a first converter (5) interposed between the accumulator (4) and the motor (2) and set out so that it adjusts the electrical power provided to the motor (2), and a generator (8) driven by a combustion engine (7), as well as a control circuit (6). To allow the accumulator (4) to be recharged under good conditions, the system (1) furthermore includes a second converter (9) set out so that it adjusts the power provided by the generator (8) to the accumulator (4) and to the first converter (5).
