Abstract

A stationary unit of a brushless motor incihdes a flat armature having a plurality of coil patterns and a flat magnetic member surrounding a center axis. The magnetic member makes contact with an upper surface of the armature. Further, a rotarv unit of the brushless motor includes a magnet opposed to the upper surface of the armature. In the brushless motor, the magnetic flux generated between the10 armature and the magnets is supplied from being leaked radially outward beyond the magnetic member. The magnetic member has an outer peripheral port ion arranged radially outward of an outer circumferential surface of the magnet and the coil patterns. This restrains magnetic flux from15 being absorbed by the magnetic member itself. As a result, it becomes possible to increase the driving efficiency of the brushless motor.(Fig, 1)
