FIG. 22 is a view similar to FIG. 16 with a container disposed in the front compartment; and
FIG. 23 is a schematic rear view of the funerary urn showing the container and a number of small objects therein.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 13, a funerary urn 1 in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the invention comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.
A hollow body 3 of parallelepiped comprises a side surface 31 of being hollowed out, a hinged front panel 32 disposed to a side of a front opening, the front panel 32 including a front projection 321 for placement of a tablet, and an internal wall 33, either being hollowed out or transparent, for dividing an interior chamber of the hollow body 3 into a front compartment 341 and a rear compartment 342. A container 51 for receiving the cremated remains of a deceased person can be stored in the front compartment 341 and two small objects 52 can be stored in the rear compartment 342 in one exemplary example.
As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, in another configuration of the front panel is a folding panel.
The front panel comprises a larger panel 323 and a smaller panel 322 having one side hingedly secured to the larger panel 323 and the other side hingedly secured to the side of the front opening of the hollow body 3. The front projection 321 is on a front surface of the larger panel 323.
A rear panel 4, ether being hollowed out or transparent, is provided on a rear end of the hollow body 3. A rectangular cover 2 is a multi-layer structure and comprises, from inside to outside, a rectangular inner frame element 21, a hollow, flexible, rectangular printed circuit board (PCB) 22 including a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) 221 provided on a closed inner edge, a rectangular, transparent member 23, and a rectangular outer frame element 24.
The transparent member 23 is made of glass, crystal, acrylic or resin. A figure (e.g.,
Buddha) may be engraved on the surface of the transparent member 23. The PCB 22 is fitted in a closed groove in the inner frame element 21. The LEDs 221 can emit light toward the transparent member 23 for illuminating a figure engraved on the transparent member 23.
Referring to FIGS. 14 to 23, a funerary urn 1 in accordance with a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the second preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: The side surface 31 is formed as a transparent glass or the like rather than being hollowed out. Further, a plurality of small objects 3421 such as ceiling light, a left sofa and a left curtain, and a right sofa and a right curtain are disposed in the rear compartment 342.
While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
