Abstract

A method of preparing a tank ship (1) for sand transportation and fluidized unloading, wherein the method includes: - disposing fluidizing pipes (10) having inflow openings (12) and also a slurry inlet (34) for fluidized sand, within a sand cargo tank (4); and - connecting a slurry pump (38) between a slurry inlet (34) and an unloading pipe (40). (Fig. 2)
