Abstract

comprises: a handle with a lock, a sliding bar, and a blade. The handle includes a blade receiving member having a male mounting means integrated with an angled shoulder together with a sliding track is disposed along thereon. The bar includes a pressing post disposed with a pressing means connected to a serrations is fixed at distal end for facilitating reciprocal movements and finger protection. Both handle and bar can be interlocked with the locking means at the proximal end of the scalpel. The blade includes a female mounting means which is identical to the male mounting means, being pressed tightly by the pressing means together with supporting angled shoulder, enabling the scalpel to proceed surgical function securely, and disclosing the blade receiving member either to receive the blade or to release the spent blade without danger, thereby preventing the user from contaminated percutaneous injuries of the sharps.
