Abstract

REFRIGERANT COMPRESSOR SLIDING SURFACE WITH NON-INTEGRAL REACTION LAYER A refrigerant compressor includes a housing containing a motor that drives a compressing mechanism that compresses a refrigerant gas. The motor and the compressing mechanism include one or more metallic sliding parts, each having a sliding surface that slides relative to each other wherein the sliding surface of at least one sliding part is coated with a reaction layer that is not integrally formed with a base material of the metallic sliding parts. A method for producing this refrigerant compressor is also disclosed.
