Abstract
Biological Contamination Detection System The present invention provides a biosensor for detecting a level of decomposition for perishable product. The system includes an RF-based chip having an IC die encapsulated by a biodegradable material for environmentally protecting the IC die. When the IC die is exposed without protection of the biodegradable material due to a degradation of the biodegradable material, the IC die is damaged which causes the RF-based chip to malfunction, thereby indicating the level of decomposition is reached. A state of contamination an also be identified based on the level of decomposition. A method for determining a level of decomposition is also provided. FIG. 1a for publication.
